Happy 4th Birthday Caden!

I can't believe that Caden is now 4!  He was such a tiny baby and a lot has happened with our lives since he was born!  He's lived in Arizona, now back in Michigan. 

We had a party at Castaway Play Cafe in Howell.  The kids had a ton of fun running around like crazies!  They let out a lot of energy, so hopefully they all slept good that night!

I made this super cute shirt for Caden to wear.

I messed up on this since it was my first time making it, so he actually wore a red one at his party. 

He got tons of gifts and loved everything!! 

Thanks everyone who helped make his birthday awesome! He counted down his birthday for weeks and now he's counting down til he's 6 so he can start kindergarten like his big brother! Oh lord!

Project 365, Day 24

Cupcakes it is!! No one had Power Ranger's decorations for cakes, so I decided to get all the colors of Power Rangers in cupcakes and then I made these little toppers to stick into the cupcakes.  I got the idea from Under A Cherry Tree.  If you have a Silhouette Cameo, you should check out her blog and her You Tube Channel.  I did this using the Print & Cut feature on my machine.  LOVE IT!

My mother in law was in town for Caden's birthday party and so we went to eat lunch and also visit a family friend in the hospital.  Little baby Charlie is so cute!!! 

Project 365, Day 23

Called to make sure we had tables and stuff for Caden's birthday party today.  They didn't have the time slot we wanted, so I had to move the party to a little bit later but the kids should still have fun.  I can't wait for it!! I can't believe Caden is gonna be 4 :(  My little baby is no longer a baby!

Project 365, Day 22

Thought for sure Brody wouldn't have school today because it was SO cold but some of the surrounding schools didn't but we still did!!  So I just made sure Brody didn't stand outside and wait for the bus that long since it was SO COLD!!!  We still have to go to basketball practice after too and it was COLD!

Project 365, Day 21

We had a blast today playing at Zehnder's Splash Village!  It's not quite as big as previous water parks that we have been to, but for the price of buy one ticket, get one free, it was fun!!  Caden was going down the big water slide all by himself, that kid is FEARLESS!!  He even got in trouble at one point because he went down head first....oopps!

It was FREEZING outside thought! Temperatures were almost freezing with wind chill below freezing!! Good day to stay inside to be warm!

Project 365, Day 20

Today is my little brother's birthday!  Happy Birthday Jon!! 

It's starting to get a cold here in Michigan finally, it was just spring weather the other day and now it's FREEZING again!! 

Today we had hockey and I made this towel before we left for practice.

She just joined a sorority at her college so my Aunt asked if I could make her something!!  It's lime green, pink and purple! LOVE IT!

Tonight I'm going with my mom and we are taking the boy's to stay in a hotel in Frankenmuth, and then tomorrow we are taking them to Splash Village because Brody doesn't have school.  Should be fun!

Project 365, Day 19

Hockey starts today!!  Brody and Chris were excited that hockey is back on TV!!  Watched the game and had a few friends over.  It was fun!  I also cut out another design on my machine to try out!  I had a few extra blank shirts in Caden's size so I could know he was at least going to wear it!

Love it!! I can't wait to do more things with this machine! I can do vinyl for the wall now, so making quotes and names, also wanting to order some blank cups and other things to personalize too!!  Perfect for camping and having a cup with your name on it, so you don't have to waste cups and forget what one is yours!!   Using this one as an example:

Project 365, Day 18

January must be a popular month to be born! I have 2 Aunts, my Dad, My FIL, my Brother, my Cousin and Caden's birthday's all in January!  Today was my dad's birthday! Happy Birthday Dad!!

I got my new machine today and am SUPER excited to use it! 

I made this shirt first thing with it!  I have lots of other projects in the works too!

Project 365, Day 17

I was super busy sewing today, it's amazing how productive you can be when you sit down to actually get stuff done!!  I can get so many more orders done now that I'm not working right now!!  Look at this little cute shirts I made!

Love it! I was also super proud of this because it was the first time I'd played around in my editing software to get the name to go that way!!  Then I turned around and finished this shirt too!!

Project 365, Day 16

Hockey, Hockey, Hockey!! It's that time of the year!!  Brody had hockey practice today so we went to that and came home and had Little Cesar's Pizza! YUMMY!! 

I also made this little cute shirt for someone who's expecting a baby soon!  She requested train shirts since her older son loves trains!  Turned out so cute!

Project 365, Day 15

I headed to JoAnn's with Caden today to try and find some fabric for a few shirts I got orders for.  They are Valentine's shirts and gonna be super cute!   I also still have to make a bag for a friend that she ordered so I had to get some interfacing for that.  Anyways, I made this super cute shirt! 

 

Brody had basketball so I ran him up there, started dinner, went back to grab him and we finished dinner.  I made super yummy dessert too! 

I saw this idea on Pinterest.  I just took small taco sized flour tortila shells, apple pie filling, sugar and cinnamon.  I rolled the apple pie filling into the shells and fried them on each side in the pan.  Then when they were out I put them in a mixture of sugar and cinnamon and they were done!  SO YUMMY!  Definitely a good recipe from Pinterest!

 

Project 365, Day 14

Since Chris works for AT&T now, we ordered U-Verse because we get a discount on it.  So that was installed today and we love it!  I already have The Biggest Loser and The Bachelor set to record tonight so I don't forget about them!  :)  The boys can even watch it on their Xbox in their room.  That is, whenever they aren't using Netflix.  I tell you what, we get our money's worth out of Netflix each month!  They love to watch everything on there, and if it wasn't for sports, HGTV and a few select other channels, we could do without cable once again.

But now that hockey is FINALLY starting back up again (GO WINGS!) we will be watching that quite a bit again. Detroit Red Wings

I ordered my new crafty machine today also.  I'm excited to offer new things in my shop once I get the hang of it!  My first project is a few key chains, cups, and a shirt for Caden's birthday!  Since I am at home, why not use this time to better my personal Etsy shop!  Be sure to keep up with my blog to see all the cool new things that are going to be happening in the future!!

Project 365, Day 13

Hockey, hockey, skating and more skating.  That's what went on today!!  Caden had learn to skate, Brody had hockey and then afterwards they had free open skating so they both skated again!  They love it!!  Caden did keep getting mad that Brody was skating too fast for him, but he's getting better.  He started Snowplow 2 yesterday.

Project 365, Day 12

Busy sports day for the family.  Brody had his first ever basketball game.  He had a lot of fun playing and his grandparents and aunt came to watch him.  I don't quite remember what the final score was but they all tried their hardest running up and down that court! 

We went to eat lunch after that at our favorite Mexican restaurant, Cancun Mexican Grill. 

Then we headed to the Michigan State Hockey game.  They have a deal where you can get 4 tickets, 4 drinks and 4 hot dogs, nachos or pretzels for $50.  Good night of fun for not that much money!  Saw a good game too! They won 4-1!  Then the boy's got to go into the player's locker room and check it out and stuff.  They thought it was cool!

 

Project 365, Day 11

After Brody went to school, I took Caden to the mall so he could go play at the indoor play site and then we went and got his haircut.  I also had a few orders to mail so we stopped by the post office before.  We met up with my sister in law and a few of her friends at the mall also.  Here is Mr. Cademan playing in the mall.

Got a little sewing done today.  This was for an order I had gotten before Christmas but just finally had time to finish it!! 

Tutu bags are the perfect gift for the little girl you know!! They can be used for dance class, gymnastics or to just pack their stuff for a trip to Grandma's!

Project 365, Day 9

Snow is melting and it's getting muddy outside.  Abby likes to get dirty, which dog doesn't!!  It's supposed to be almost 55 degrees on Saturday, I thought it was the middle of January??!

We had hockey tonight, so Brody skated and Caden ran around the outside of the rink.  He likes to pretend to play on all the games outside in the lobby too.

I'm trying to change my FB page for Brodacious Bags but FB is not being very cooperative and I may of already screwed myself by changing my web address to the new name already, but they won't change the real name.  So I can't even make a new page now with the name I want :(  BOO!!!  But maybe I should just direct everyone to my Etsy site anyways, since FB doesn't get many views these days with all their setting changes.  Between this blog and my Etsy, hopefully sales can pick up!

Project 365, Day 8

Brody's at basketball practice so I'm getting things ready for dinner.  We are going to try this recipe Oven Toasted Ravioli Recipe from Six Sisters' Stuff.  Their food and website are super cute and I can't wait to meet them.  I've also looked for some slow cooker recipes on their website too.  Let's hope it turns out good!

Didn't do a whole lot today, called my friend MARVIN for unemployment.  Hopefully that gets going soon, missing income for 4 weeks now is frustrating.  I'm trying to plan Caden's 4th birthday but need money for the deposit for the place.

We decided to have his party at Castaway Play.  With lots of little ones in the family, I think they will have a blast! Plus it's made so that adults can play in it too!  Should be fun!

Project 365, Day 7

Today was back to school for Brody, so it was just me and Caden hanging out.  We went to Meijer to get groceries and came back to have lunch.

Then for dinner we made Chili, because here in Michigan, it's still snowy and cold!! But this weekend it might get up to the 50's, CRAZY weather.

Finished up the night watching The Biggest Loser.

Project 365, Day 6

Spent most the day at the hockey rink today. Brody plays hockey and Caden is still learning to skate!

Also planned Caden's 4th birthday party! We are gonna have it at Castaway Cafe so the kids can play!

Project 365 Day 4

My mom bought fabric to help me make the boy's matching quilts for their beds.  Well the colors and fabric will be matching but we were gonna make them 2 different quilt patterns.  Since they are in the same room and stuff.  And then I'll make them a pillowcase with their initials on it or something also.

Gonna take awhile to make them since they are gonna be twin size but their rooms will look nice once done.

Project 365, Day 3

Finished my Chevron quilt!  It's amazing how fast you can get stuff done when you don't have a real "job" to get in the way of the fun stuff!!  Can't wait to send it off to it's new owner for him to enjoy!

I love the colors and just the whole quilt.  The back is a green color and the binding is teal.

Project 365, Day 2

Keeping this going!  I made crossants this morning for breakfast.  They were filled with cream cheese and strawberry preserves.  Thank you Pinterest for the idea! 

I made them yesterday and Brody asked me to make some more today, he must like them or something :)

Today Brody has hockey and I'm still searching the job sites for new postings that come about. 

Custom Child's Name Pillows

What little kid doesn't like something with their name on it?  Something that is all their own and personalized just for them? 

I love making these pillows and had tons of orders for them this past holiday season!!  This one above was a birthday present for a pre-teen girl who's name was a little hard to find on regular personalized things, so her mom asked if I could make this for her!

Happy New Year!! Project 365, Day 1

Happy New Year!!!  I've decided I'm gonna try and blog everyday about something, whether it's just a picture I took of the kids that day or something little.  We'll see how it works. 

Finished up the quilting on this baby quilt for a friend, still working on the binding but I should have that finished tomorrow.
